Format

The Bell House Premier League 2026/27 consists of 3 Divisions of 12 teams each.

We will play 2 BHPL seasons during the Premier League Season; Winter and Spring.

The top 4 sides in Divisions 2 and 3 in the Winter Season will be promoted to the next Division for the Spring Season. They will replace the bottom 4 sides in those Divisions who will be relegated to Divisions 2 and 3 as applicable.

Each season will consist of 22 BHPL Rounds. Every team will play at Home and Away against every team in their Division (22 games).

BHPL Game Rules

Each game is played by predicting the results of Premier League matches.

The Away team predicts 5 Premier League matches and the Home team predicts those matches plus a sixth bonus “Home” match.

A goal is scored for each correct prediction.

For the 2026/27 season we are introducing Bonus Goals.

Correct Score Bonus Goal:

For one pre-selected match you will predict the result by predicting the score. If you get the score correct you receive a bonus goal on top of the goal for predicting the correct result.

Super Pick Bonus Goal:

Each round you must select one game to be your Super Pick. If you get the correct result in that game, you are awarded a bonus goal.

In any BHPL Game, the home team could score a maximum of 8 goals and the away team a maximum of 7 goals.

Late Predictions:

Predictions are due by Midnight UK on the day before the first PL match kicks off. If predictions are not received before the fixture match ups are published on the website, then all games are deemed to be predicted as draws. The predicted score for the bonus goal game is deemed to be 0-0 and the team cannot receive a super pick bonus goal.

Premier League Match Selection

Premier League matches to be predicted have been selected randomly, with the following caveats, which means that we require the TV schedules to be set before finalising the selection:

For Premier League Rounds that occur at the weekend, we only select matches that occur on Saturday or Sunday, whenever possible.

If a match is postponed/rescheduled after being selected it will be replaced if time permits. Matches postponed at the last minute will not be replaced and will be ignored (all players deemed to have made an incorrect prediction). If a match is abandoned during play, we will use the score at the time the match is abandoned (even if the match is subsequently replayed).

The bonus home match will always be the last game to kick off on Sunday afternoon (usually the flagship Super Sunday game on Sky Sports) for weekend rounds. For midweek rounds the bonus home match will be the last game to kick off on the last day of the mid-week schedule.

Double Header Rounds

In order to play the required number of BHPL Rounds utilising the 38 Premier League rounds, certain BHPL Rounds will be double-header rounds, where we play 2 BHPL games.

A double-header round will use all available 10 premier league matches subject to the postponement rules above.

In a double header round each BHPL team will play one home and one away game against the same opponent. This requires a total of 11 predictions, which means we will predict one Premier League match twice. This match will be the first game to kick off in the set of 10 matches and will be used in both BHPL games. You can either make the same prediction or select a different prediction for this match, but you will need to submit it twice.

The sixth bonus home match will be the same in both BHPL games.

Bell House League Positions

3 points are awarded for a win and 1 for a draw.

League position is determined by points with ties decided by goal difference and goals scored.

Only if required to settle prize/promotion/relegation places we will consider head-to-head record and if necessary, a coin toss.

The Hasina Championship

Over the season, each team will make 242 predictions.

Each team’s overall percentage correct will be tracked in the Hasina Championship table.

Teams that have the same number of correct predictions will use correct score as a tiebreaker. If still tied the teams will share equal position and any applicable prize at the end of the season.

Rayleigh Pub Crawl Challenge Cup

There will be an annual cup competition with more details to follow…

Prize Funds

Participating for cash prizes is optional. If you do want to have a chance of winning prizes the entry fee is GBP 30 or USD 41.

Prize pools will be based on the number of participants in each competition who have entered.

BHPL Spring Season GBP 10 (funds allocated to the division you participate in)
